L-Arginine is a non-essential amino acid that helps in creating muscle-building protein in our body. Other than that, it also helps in improving blood flow by enabling the blood vessels to open wider. It can be consumed from two types of sources: natural and supplements. Natural sources of L-Arginine are generally protein-rich sources such as eggs, fish, beef, pork and other red meat. These foods contain a low level of L-Arginine and our body also produces the same natural under normal circumstances. These are amongst the natural sources of amino acids.

L-arginine is essential for the development of nitric oxide, a flagging atom that is required for better blood circulation, secretion of insulin and other components to help replenish tissues. Arginine is fundamental for the advancement of T-cells, which are white platelets that assume focal parts in reaction. It is useful in case of severe wounds and other health conditions where the platelets and replenishments are in need.

Side Effects of L-Arginine

It is a complex acid so it has some side effects as well. Furthermore, care is advised when taking arginine via supplements. The plausible side-effects can be indigestion, nausea, headache, allergies, low blood pressure and more. If consumed in large portions, it can cause stomach acid imbalance, heartburn, ulcers and indigestion. In some cases, it can also create fatal circumstances. If you have diabetes or heart disease, avoid intake of these supplements altogether. Ultimately, there are pros and cons like any other thing, but it totally depends upon mindful use as to whether would be a cost or benefit to the body.
